The Cloud Construct team loves developing and building tailor-made website solutions. Unlike some of our competitors, we’re also happy for the client to be empowered with the means to be a part of the ongoing process.

We believe that through proper training and education, we can lift the veil of mysticism around how to maintain and optimise a website, which empowers the client and gives them the control they have a right to.

Unrestricted website access

Some website developers restrict client access to their own websites, so they can charge for all updates. This does not fit with Cloud Construct’s ethos. As a commercial business, that may sound counter intuitive, but we have found that clients appreciate it when we demystify the technology and give them control to their own assets.

Our approach is to break down barriers between the client and development team. We will gladly share our “secrets” when we think it will help. This collaborative approach ensures the client is not held back from making changes whenever they want, day or night, and that can only be advantageous for the website.

We have recently worked with Sam to build her new website for Middle Farm and Cottages. Sam knew exactly how she wanted it to look. She is computer savvy and naturally knew her business inside out, so there was every reason for her to help create the content for the new site.

This arrangement worked well. By working alongside Sam, we delivered exactly the website she wanted. By contributing to the work, she was also able to save on development costs.

WHAT HAVING CONTROL INVOLVES:

If you have a CMS (content management system) such as WordPress, you can keep full administrator access with automated back-ups, which means you can easily reverse your changes if you make a mistake.
To have full Administrator / Owner access on control panels for services such as Google Analytics, Google Adwords, YouTube etc. means the data and reporting content is yours to access and control.

You can keep full control over your web hosting and email accounts. This works especially well if you have an IT person looking after your technology, as they can configure it to your exact requirements, without needing to request help from us. No needless barrier preventing you from controlling your own Internet assets.
