Helping to spread “A Christmas smile” this year
Cloud Construct has chosen to partner with a favourite local charity “A Christmas Smile” for the second year running to help brighten up the end of 2020.
With COVID-19 hitting communities and families across the nation; we feel this year more than ever that the charity’s aim of giving a Christmas surprise to all families and children in the Telford community experiencing difficulties should be one shared by us all.
We first partnered with ‘A Christmas Smile’ last year after they found themselves struggling with their IT and Systems, and after hearing their predicament we wanted to step in and help in time for Christmas 2019.
We are pleased to hear that between the charity and support of the local community over 8,000 gifts were given to 1500 adults and children in the Telford and Wrekin area last year.
This year, we are continuing our support to shift the volunteer’s focus from tech trivia to the much more important job of spreading Christmas joy.
Pete Barfield, Founder of Cloud Construct said:
“Covid has really challenged us this year, most notably around fewer open donation points and restrictions on volunteer numbers so we are really grateful to Cloud Construct for waiving their annual IT fees which will allow us to purchase much needed gifts that will go to families whose need is so much greater this year than ever before”.
Kate Phillips, Christmas Smile Manager told us:
“The work that Christmas Smile achieves each year is so important, touching the hearts of so many people during their time of need. We’re pleased to be able to help a little where we can.“
There’s still time to donate if you wish to help make a difference this Christmas. All donations are welcomed and the project’s Amazon Wish List can be found here:
