MyWorkwear is one of the UK’s leading online workwear suppliers, manufacturing and embroidering over 5000 garments per week for companies large and small across the UK. Established in 1976, MyWorkwear successfully sold workwear clothing nationally for many years before embracing Internet technology in 2001. They launched an industry leading ecommerce website and became one of the very first UK businesses to allow customers to personalise their garment online before checkout.
Peter, the founder of Cloud Construct, built the original MyWorkwear ecommerce website and the relationship has been going strong ever since. In 2015, the relationship became even stronger, as Cloud Construct invested in MyWorkwear.co.uk to create an exciting new partnership.
MyWorkwear has continually invested in technology to remain at the forefront of its industry and build a strong competitive advantage based on the marketing and operational excellence that can be achieved with best in industry technology.
To maintain their ability to compete in the workwear industry, MyWorkwear required an ecommerce website that had great usability and responsiveness for customers whilst also being functional for staff. The website developed was able to manage a complicated catalogue of over 3,500 products, 150,000 product images and over 140,000 SKUs, plus it allowed users to personalise items before checkout. It is a responsive design that works well on all devices and integrates with Sage, DPD, MailChimp, TrustPilot and in-house systems to meet staff requirements. It also uses in-depth activity and conversion tracking using Google Analytics, Google Optimise and Hotjar.
As a long-running business, MyWorkwear also had many legacy paper-based systems with inherent issues such as orders getting lost and time wasted tracking down paperwork. It was clear that if the business was to expand, the operational side of the business needed to modernise.
Cloud Construct implemented a new Work in Progress tool to help with tracking of orders, with built-in reporting to alert staff to any orders that required attention to meet delivery timescales.
Making data-driven decisions is key to maximising efficiencies in marketing and operations, so Cloud Construct implemented seamless integration of data from various systems including the website, Sage, Google AdWords and Google Analytics, to ensure MyWorkwear are able to fully understand how they are performing and where they need to improve.
